Terms of service

1. About these terms
These terms apply to the use of the website strebell.com and the platform app.strebell.com (together: Strebell), provided by Carola Martina Elisabeth Vermeulen, trading as Strebell, Carrer de Raimon 8, 03730 Xàbia (Alicante), Spain. Tax identification number (NIF-IVA): ESZ3004204H. By creating an account or taking out a subscription, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You provide accurate details, keep your login details secret and use your account only yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
3. Free trial
You can try Strebell free for 9 days without entering payment details. After the trial you decide whether to subscribe. Nothing is charged automatically. If you don't take out a subscription, we keep your data for 7 more days after the trial ends, so you can still subscribe or export it, and then delete it.
4. Subscriptions and prices
Strebell costs $20 per month, or $15 per month billed yearly ($180 per year). Prices include VAT where it applies; the VAT for your country is part of the price shown. Businesses with a valid EU VAT number outside Spain pay the price excluding VAT (reverse charge). Prices are shown in US dollars or euros, and you pay in the currency you choose at checkout. If you joined the waitlist before launch and choose yearly billing, you pay $150 for your first year ($12.50 per month); after that the standard price at that time applies. The waitlist price ends if you cancel. You pay in advance through Stripe and receive an invoice, in your company name on request. A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel.
5. Price changes
We may change our prices. We'll tell you about a new price by email at least 30 days in advance. It applies from your next period, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel online at any time. Your access stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. A yearly subscription runs until the end of the year and is then not renewed. Amounts already paid are not refunded, unless the law requires it.
7. Right of withdrawal
If you're a consumer, you have 14 days to change your mind after taking out a paid subscription. If you expressly ask us to keep the service running during that period and then withdraw, you only pay for the part of the period in which you already used Strebell. To withdraw, send an email to support@strebell.com.
8. Your data
The data you enter in Strebell remains yours. We only use it to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy. You can always export your data. After your subscription ends, we keep it for 7 more days and then delete it, except what we're legally required to keep.
9. Fair use
You don't use Strebell in a way that harms the service or others. So you don't try to break in, overload the service, collect other people's data, copy or rebuild the software, or share your account. In case of misuse we may limit your access or close your account.
10. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep Strebell available at all times, but can't guarantee uninterrupted operation. The service may be briefly unavailable for maintenance. We keep developing Strebell, so features may change.
11. Ending the service
We may stop offering Strebell, or end your subscription for a reason other than misuse, with at least 30 days' notice by email. In that period you can export all your data, and we refund the part of your subscription you've already paid for but can no longer use.
12. No financial advice
Strebell is a journal and analytics tool. Insights are based on the data you enter yourself and are not financial, investment or trading advice. We don't promise results. Trading involves significant risk, and all decisions you make are your own responsibility.
13. Liability
We are not liable for trading losses or indirect damage, such as lost profit. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage. These limits don't apply in case of intent or gross negligence, and they don't affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
14. Intellectual property
The platform, the Strebell name, the website and the templates belong to us. You may print and use the free templates for your own trading, but not sell them or distribute them as your own product.
15. Partner programme and friends bonus
Partners receive 20% of the net subscription revenue (excluding VAT) paid by customers who sign up through their personal link, for as long as those customers remain members and the programme exists. Purchases through your own link don't count. Partners make no misleading promises, send no spam and don't advertise on the Strebell brand name. In case of misuse, commissions lapse and we may end the participation. Details such as payouts are set out in the partner agreement. With the friends bonus you get one month free as soon as three friends take out a paid subscription through your link.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We'll tell you about material changes at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Spain. If you're a consumer, you can also go to the court where you live, and you keep the protection your own country's law gives you.
