Frequently asked questions
What makes Strebell different from a regular trading journal?
A regular journal mainly shows which trades you took and what they made. Strebell combines your trades with your mindset, sleep, preparation, economic events and discipline. That reveals connections you wouldn't spot yourself, for example that you lose more often after a short night or take more risk when you're stressed. You see not just your results, but what goes with them.
How does Strebell help me become a better trader?
Strebell analyses your past trades and shows recurring patterns, strengths and weak spots. For example, that you lose more when you deviate from your plan, or perform better at certain times. Those insights become one concrete focus goal for your trading day. Strebell doesn't guarantee profits, but it does help you trade more deliberately, with more structure and more insight.
Doesn't it take a lot of time to keep up?
No. Your day start takes about a minute, a trade plan up to five minutes, logging and reviewing a trade about two minutes and closing the day about two minutes. With three trades a day that's around 14 minutes, not counting your market analysis and trading time. The weekly review with planning takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Can I import trades automatically from my broker?
No, and that's a deliberate choice. You can only capture exactly how you felt during the trade itself, so you log every trade yourself and review it straight away. An import afterwards gives you numbers without the context that explains them. If automatic import is a must for you, Strebell isn't the right tool.
What does Strebell cost, and can I try it first?
Strebell costs $20 per month, or $15 per month billed yearly ($180 per year), with all features included. Prices include VAT, so what you see is what you pay. You can try it free for 9 days without a credit card. If you join the waitlist now, you pay $12.50 instead of $20 per month in your first year with yearly billing: $90 less than paying monthly.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel a monthly plan whenever you like; your access stays active until the end of the paid month. A yearly plan runs until the end of the year and then isn't renewed. After you cancel, we keep your data for 7 more days so you can export everything. Then we delete it.
How does Strebell know what my edge is?
Strebell analyses your own trading history. When you make a trade plan, you see per ticker your best-performing setups, your strongest direction (long or short), the times you perform best, the indicators linked to your best results, your win rate, your average R and how strong your current plan is. How reliable that is depends on how many trades you've logged.
Can Strebell really show that my sleep or mindset affects my trading?
Strebell can show whether there are links between your sleep, mental state, behaviour and results. Say you average −0.3R after 6–7 hours of sleep and +0.5R after 8–9 hours: then you know what to watch when you prepare. A correlation doesn't automatically mean sleep or mindset is the direct cause, though.
What exactly does Trade Mentor do?
Trade Mentor is Strebell's analysis and coaching feature. It looks for patterns in your performance, discipline, mindset and behaviour, including combinations: sleep and risk, mindset and discipline, plan deviations and results, setups, tickers and times, events and impulsive decisions. Those improvement points become daily focus goals. If you often enter too early, following your entry conditions becomes your focus goal.
What if I've only logged a few trades so far?
Then you start building your history today. From day one you make trade plans, log trades, fill in your day journal and track your rules. As you collect more data, patterns become visible. Not every pattern is reliable straight away: an 80% win rate on five trades means much less than on a hundred.
I already know what my mistakes are. Why do I need Strebell?
Knowing you make a mistake is different from knowing how often, when and what it costs you. You might think overtrading is your biggest problem, while you mostly lose after a short night in the first half hour after the open. Or you think a breakout is your best setup, while another setup consistently earns more R. Strebell tests your assumptions against your own data.
Why use Strebell when I can use a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet is fine for recording trades, but you have to build everything yourself and the fields don't talk to each other. Strebell connects your whole process: a trade plan with your historical edge per ticker, playbook checklists and warnings while you log, a day journal for sleep and mindset, and Trade Mentor turning it all into concrete improvements. No formulas and no error-prone input fields.
Is Strebell suitable for beginners?
Yes, precisely because you learn so much about what does and doesn't work and you're actively engaged with your trading. You do need the basics: the terms and jargon, so you can record and understand strategies and setups.
Does Strebell work for swing traders?
Yes. Many day traders also run swing trades. In your day journal dashboard you follow your swing trades and review every day what you're waiting for and what the next step is. Earnings are covered too, because those are key days for open positions.
Which markets are supported?
All of them: stocks, indices, forex, crypto, commodities and futures. Planning, logging and reviewing work the same way in every market.
Does Strebell work for funded and prop firm accounts?
Yes. Track multiple accounts, challenges, payouts, drawdown and daily loss limits in one account dashboard.
Does Strebell work on my phone or tablet?
Strebell works in any browser, but it's made for your laptop or computer. That's where you trade, and the platform holds too much data to use comfortably on a small screen.
Where is my data stored and who can access it?
Your data is stored in the EU, on servers in Ireland. Your journal is tied to your own account and only you can access it. You can export all your data whenever you want, and we never sell it.
Which languages are available?
Strebell is available in English, Dutch, Spanish and German. You can switch language at any time.
How do I get support?
Email us at support@strebell.com and you'll get a reply within 24 hours. A chat will follow later, and after launch a Discord community for users will start.
How can I pay, and do I get an invoice?
You pay through Stripe by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL or another common payment method. If you trade as a business, you get an invoice in your company name.
Does Strebell give signals or advice?
No. Strebell is not a signal service and doesn't give financial advice. It helps you follow, understand and improve your own trading process.
