Privacy policy

1. Who we are
Strebell is an independent product. The controller for the processing of your personal data is Carola Martina Elisabeth Vermeulen, trading as Strebell, based in Xàbia (Alicante), Spain. Tax identification number (NIF-IVA): ESZ3004204H. In this privacy policy we refer to this as "we" or "Strebell". Questions? Email us at privacy@strebell.com.
2. What data we process
Depending on how you use Strebell, we process:
- Waitlist, free templates and partner applications: your email address and, if you fill them in, your first name, trading style, your answer to what you miss in a trading journal, and for partners your channel and audience. Also your language, the page you signed up on, campaign data (utm parameters), any referral code and your country (derived from your IP address; we don't store the IP address itself for this).
- Account: your name, email address and login details.
- Data you enter in the platform yourself: trades, trade plans, playbooks, journal notes, reviews and your mindset scores, such as sleep, energy, stress and how you felt about a trade.
- Payments: your subscription, payment status and invoice details. Your payment details, such as card numbers, are processed by Stripe; we never see them in full.
- Contact: the content of your emails to us.
- Technical data: browser type, language and server logs, including your IP address, which our hosting provider keeps briefly for security and troubleshooting.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
We only use your data for these purposes:
- Emails about the launch, your waitlist price and updates: based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Website statistics and measuring our ads with cookies: only based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Providing the platform, your account and your subscription: because it is necessary for our contract with you.
- Invoices and accounting: because the law requires us to keep them.
- Security and preventing abuse, such as blocking spam signups: based on our legitimate interest.
- Support and the partner programme: to perform our agreements with you.
4. Your journal and mindset data
What you enter in your journal, such as your sleep, stress and feelings about trades, is personal. We only use it to show you your own insights, for example in your dashboard and through Trade Mentor. We don't use it for advertising, don't share it with other users and never sell it. No automated decisions with legal effects are made about you. Filling in mindset data such as sleep, stress and feelings is optional. If you do, you give your explicit consent to process it for this purpose only; you can change or delete it at any time, and withdraw your consent by no longer filling it in. Trade Mentor analyses your data within Strebell itself: no external AI services receive your data.
5. Who we share data with
We work with a few carefully chosen service providers that process data only on our instructions, under data processing agreements:
- Vercel: hosting of the website and the platform.
- Supabase: the platform's database, with servers in the EU (Ireland).
- Stripe: payment processing. Stripe is itself responsible for part of that processing.
- Brevo: sending our emails and managing the waitlist.
- Google Workspace: our email, including the support questions you send us.
- Google Analytics (Google) and Meta Pixel (Meta): website statistics and measuring our ads, only if you accept those cookies.
6. Data outside the EU
Some providers, such as Vercel, Stripe, Google and Meta, are based in the United States. When data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
We don't keep data longer than necessary:
- Waitlist and emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Account and platform data: for as long as you have a subscription. After it ends, we keep it for 7 more days so you can export everything. Then we delete it.
- Invoices and payment records: 6 years, as required by Spanish law.
- Free trial without a subscription: until 7 days after the trial ends. Then we delete it.
- Support emails: as long as needed to handle your question, and no longer than 2 years.
9. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (TLS), access control and database rules that let each account access only its own data. Only people who really need it have access.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object and to take your data with you; in the platform you can export your data yourself. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request to privacy@strebell.com; we respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) or the authority in your own country.
11. Minors
Strebell is intended for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
12. Changes
We may update this privacy policy. We'll tell you about important changes in advance by email or in the platform.
